I have been doing simple edits to video using Avidemux for years. Typically, just recorded movies where commercials are removed. I use a DVD-RW to record the movie from satellite TV, then join and edit the VOBs. I usually just do a stream copy and save to the MPEG-TS format.

After upgrading to a Windows 7 PC the end of the edited video is silent. This usually occurs around the location of the video that the file size reaches 2GB. I suspect this has been discussed already but can't for the life of me find anything on it no matter what I search for. Can anyone point me in the right direction to determine what is causing the sound to drop out part of the way through?

Does same happen in AVIdemux 2.6 nightly builds?
I am away between 15th of May - 15th of June. (yes, I am playing D3)

Thanks for the reply. I realized that my problem is attributed to user error. I tried the MPEG-PS format instead of MPEG-TS and did not have the problem. Apparently, my switch to Windows 7 was accompanied with forgetting which format was the correct one to use! Thanks again!
