I have Olympus SP-565UZ digital camera and there seems to be some problems on the audio handling even with the latest R8947 build. When converting to x264 and MP3 (lame), video seems to be ok but sound comes out only in bursts. Sample video from the camera can be found from https://www.dropbox.com/s/ed7ubc7362akoz6/P6160111.AVI and a converted end result is named x264 P6160111.avi

Do you do any editing or just save the video with new audio & video codecs ?

That video is the original but when trying to convert it to Mpeg4 AVC (x264) / MP3 (lame) and AVI Muxer, resulting movie has very broken audio. Only changes to the default are for video under "General", where I've used "Average Bitrate (Two pass) with 1500 kbits/s. Audio settings were the defaults CBR, 128 and 2. No filters were used. Sample video from the camera can be found from https://www.dropbox.com/s/ed7ubc7362akoz6/P6160111.AVI and a converted end result is named https://www.dropbox.com/s/k36ghq181mwhryh/x264%20P6160111.avi and as you can notice, original has a constant audio but the converted file is mostly totally quiet.

Tried now with both R8959 and R8962 builds, both seems to have still problems, when using MP3 (lame) with CBR option, ABR option seems to work now. Playing CBR version with VLC 2.1.0, there is almost no sound, only some small bursts at the end and if I use Windows Media Player, it starts to play audio several seconds after the video and audio starts from the wrong place.

The source audio has very low quality : 8bits/ 8Khz/ mono
If you resample it to 32kHz, do you still have bad audio ?

Killer 69

Resampling (used 44100 kHz for test) seems to be a workaround for CBR, i.e. now the audio is working, as expected. But because you were able to fix ABR, would it be possible to do the same fix also for CBR side?
