I work by "slicing" video segments.
I constantly encounter the fact that it is impossible to delete an empty selection (marker A and B at the same point) via [DEL].

Of course, you can press Undo [Ctrl+Z] several times, but this is inconvenient.

What are you trying to accomplish? Reset markers (with alternative keyboard shortcuts enabled, press "R")?

Please upgrade to the latest 2.8.2 nightly. It fixes among a few minor issues a hard crash with some damaged MPEG-TS files.

[R] not work
[Esc] not work
[Backspace] not work

The action to reset markers is in the "Edit" menu, the corresponding entry names also the currently assigned keyboard shortcut. It is "R" when alternative shortcuts are enabled (it can be configured to use any other combination by manually editing the configuration file in Avidemux profile).

Neither ESC nor BACKSPACE are expected to have any effect here by default.

Thanks, figured it out [Ctrl+Home]. It would be nice  to change to  [Esc] or the possibility of assigning keys.

Both possible (I would not recommend to use ESC for that, however), all info given in this topic.

Keywords: alternative keyboard shortcuts, manual editing of configuration file in Avidemux profile.
