Drag and drop in Windows keeps drag partner from responding

Hi.

I use Avidemux quite a lot and so I find it a little bothersome that when I drag and drop a video file into Avidemux, the drag partner (the window from which the file is dragged, like Desktop or Windows Explorer) stops responding until the video file is fully opened in Avidemux. Since I have not looked into the code, I can only guess what is the cause but I suspect it is because Avidemux does not signal the drop action until the file is open, whereas it should remember the file path, signal the drop action and then proceed with opening the video file.
