which filter and settings to use for video stabilization?

Hi.

I have couple of video with lower and higher frequency shaking, as they were made while running or driving a bike.
Which filter and settings in it should be used to stabilize at least a little bit those videos?

None of the native Avidemux filters, but Avisynth, usable via avsproxy in Avidemux on Windows, seems to offer a variety of filters for this purpose: http://avisynth.nl/index.php/External_filters#Stabilization.
